Greencard Wedding is a theatrical indie-folk-rock duo that originated in New York and continues to tour all over America and abroad to raise awareness about artist visa's, immigration and the importance of gathering in pubs.
Their music includes English and Gaelic lyrics and is a combination of acoustic guitar, piano, looper and "whiskey soaked heart soaring harmonies" (according to Broadway World) played by two people on 4 instruments. Many Greencard Wedding shows include; bubbles, Irish toasts, Gaelic, a set list t- shirt worn by one lucky audience member, and wedding cake infused with Irish whisky.
Since 2014, Greencard Wedding has gigged as a band and also performed/toured productions of their musical with film Greencard Wedding to venues all over the USA including; HERE Arts Center, The Studios of Key West, FilmGate Miami at The Miami Light Project, The Brick Theater, StoryCode NYC, Dixon Place, The Allways Lounge in New Orleans and Carrie Morris Performing Arts Center in Detroit MI, where Ryan McCurdy won best actor in the Detroit Fringe Festival.
Band concerts appearances include; Alan Cumming's Club Cumming, The Bitter End, The Metropolitan Room, The Delancey (Headliner), Coors New Legends Concert Series at Leftfield (Headliner), DROM, Fat Baby, Ella Lounge, The LES Music Festival, The Parkside Lounge, Bowery Poetry Club. Their songs GUST and Infinite Water were commissioned for the global Climate Change Theater Action in 2016-2017 and performed in New York and 8 other American cities, Lithuania, Denmark and Berlin. Speaking engagements include Mason Gross School of the Arts and New York Mensa.
