Greencard Wedding: An Indie Rock Musical
Brooklyn 2012, where you can be whatever you want, until your visa expires. Hailed by Howlround as “deeply original” and Time Out as “talents to watch, not to mention a pleasure to hear,” Greencard Wedding is part "whiskey soaked heart soaring" rock concert, part "cinema verite" Skype film. Inspired by a true, bittersweet love story of one band's artistic triumph via technology and music, this interactive show runs 90 minutes, includes whiskey toasts and is performed in English and some Gaelic. Wedding cake served to all audience members.
Greencard Wedding (formerly titled The Skype Show) has had productions at HERE ARTS Center, The Studios of Key West, The Brick Theater, Filmgate Miami and Carrie Morris Performing Arts in Detroit, MI. Cake served at every show. Inspired by a true story and Skype calls between 2012-2013.
